Services

There are many good therapists out there, but not every therapist is right for every client. Here is some more information about me to help you determine whether I may be a good fit for you.

I offer individual therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. While it is often helpful to include other family members in treatment, especially with children and adolescents, I do not currently provide ongoing family or couples therapy.

I have experience working with a wide range of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties. I specialize in working with individuals who are survivors of interpersonal trauma, including childhood abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and sexual abuse or assault.

I am also experienced in treating children for problems such as anxiety, frequent sadness or tearfulness, angry outbursts, and difficulty adjusting to major life changes such as death or divorce. I use play therapy to help children learn new coping skills, promote healthy expression of emotions, and strengthen parent-child relationships.

I believe that quality mental health care should be accessible to everyone. I reserve several spaces in my private practice for reduced fee therapy appointments. Please contact me to discuss the availability for sliding scale payment options. Here are some additional resources for low cost and sliding scale counseling in Claremont and the surrounding area.

My approach to therapy is integrative, incorporating a variety of treatment approaches and tailored to your specific needs and goals. My work is influenced primarily by emotion-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), a mind-body approach that helps clients manage traumatic stress reactions.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Phone: (626) 275-8935

I received my M.S. in Counseling from California State University at Fullerton, and I have been licensed as a marriage and family therapist since 2015. I have worked in community mental health, addiction treatment programs, and school settings, and have been in private practice since 2012.

I knew from a young age that being a therapist was my path, and over the years my passion for this work has only grown stronger. When I work with clients, I bring authenticity, insight, and compassion into each session, in addition to my education and training. It is my hope that you will look forward to our work together, and see the value of having someone assist you on your path towards health and wholeness.

In my free time, you can find me reading, listening to music, and spending time with my family.

Getting Started

Before scheduling an intake appointment, I will do a free initial phone consultation that will last 15-20 minutes. During this conversation, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and determine whether I can offer you the services that you need.

After the phone consultation, we will schedule the initial visit. Please print out the intake paperwork and fill it out prior to the session, to ensure that we are able to make the most of our time together.

INTAKE FORMS

FEES: My standard session fee is $100 for a 50-minute session. Extended sessions are sometimes available for a higher fee. Sliding scale appointments are available on a limited basis based on financial need.

PAYMENTS: Payment can be made with cash or check, but I do not accept credit cards at this time. Typically payments are made at the end of each session, but other payment schedules can be arranged.

INSURANCE: I do not participate in-network with any insurance panels.  If your insurance reimburses for out-of-network providers, I can provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
